Orimolusi Will Rewrite The History Of Ijebu-Igbo - Awujale

The paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Kayode Adetona has assured the entire people of Ijebu-Igbo that the new Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo will rewrite the history of the town. Making this submission in his palace, the monarch stated that the newly appointed Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Adebajo will be a symbol of peace that will rewrite the history of the town.
Oba Adetona stated further that Ijebu-Igbo is blessed with outstanding personalities that have distinguished themselves in their various areas of endeavors, pointing out that the town is very rich in both mineral and human resources.

Awujale pointed out that Ijebu-Igbo has all that it takes to be great again; producing several professors, four senators, two deputy governors, just to mention a few.
He further charged all the youths and stakeholders in Ijebu-Igbo to work with the new Orimolusi so that peace and progress would return to the ancient city.

Others speakers at the event who spoke on behalf of Ijebu-Igbo community include both Prof Ogunye and Dr. Ipaye, They assured the paramount ruler of their commitment to restore the lost glory of Ijebu-Igbo, adding that the community will return to the drawing board and fashion out ways of elevating the status of the community.

Prof. Ogunye spoke on the effort of Oba Adetona towards ensuring that Ijebu-Igbo produce a new Orimolusi, adding that the royal father used all the connections at his disposal to remove the impediment  on the path of the emergence of a new Orimolusi.
Oba Adetona congratulated the entire people of Ijebu-Igbo for producing a new Orimolusi and urged all the royal fathers in the community to work hand in hand with the new Orimolusi so that the community will restore its lost glory.

Over forty royal fathers in Ijebu land were present at the event, including Eleruwon of Eruwon, Oba Adebayo, Gbegende of Ososa, Oba Alatishe, Alaye of Odogbolu, Oba Onagoruwa, the Obire of Ayepe, The Orugbogbo of Imoru, among others.
